What it does:
Supports children and adults with disabilities and their families with programs, social activities, and inclusion advocacy. Plans to build a Life Town building in Howard County, where individuals with unique abilities and their families, teen volunteers, supporters, and staff link together to form connections and opportunities to give back.
Impact:
Chabad has made many of its events accessible to individuals with disabilities and special events to promote inclusion. The Kindness Hub aims to revive the Friendship Circle, which Chabad previously operated 10 years ago. The Kindness Hub recently recruited 10 therapists/social workers, contacted and identified families in Howard County, and facilitated medical equipment donations to the Howard County Loan Closet. Will engage families by finding out their needs.
